Autobiography

My name is Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Eli. Yes, I know, that’s usually a boy’s name. Let’s move on. I’m a full time student at TCC, but this is my last semester. After I get my Associates, I hope to transfer to either NSU-BA or TU. I’m majoring in Journalism and I hope to launch a career somewhere in the book world. I review books for Examiner.com as the Tulsa Books Examiner, and have been in this position since June of 2010.

I love to read. You know how some people like to collect stamps, rocks, or music? I read. It’s my thing. I am never, ever without a book. And while I do have the Kindle and Nook apps on my phone, I prefer real books. Ones that I can hold in my hand. Ones that will shake when I’m laughing and hold my tears in its pages when I’m crying. I’m not afraid to admit it: books make me cry, if they’re written with passion. If a book has never made you cry, you’re not reading it right. Because I love to read, I work with several different publishing companies that send me books to review, which broadens my horizons as a reader.

So, why do you care? Because I will use my passion and growing expertise to give you information about the book industry. It could be an interview, a review, a list of books coming out…whatever tickles my fancy. If you have any suggestions, or would like me to review your book, please email me at e_prov@yahoo.com.
